Patents are public information. Over the years they have built up a wealth of information, also for companies who themselves are not involved in patenting.

Each year, over a million new patent documents are published in several languages in over 100 countries. In total, there are over 40 million patent documents. They are of many kinds: applications, published patent applications and patent specifications. Information relating to patents can also be found in patent registers. The patent system generates immense amounts of information that is only waiting there to be used. Welcome as a user!

• PatInfo – basic information on Finnish patents and utility models
• Hymanetti – basic information, claim and picture pertaining to each utility model registered in Finland
• FI-EP database – basic information on European patents currently in force in Finland
• Publication server - translations of European patents into Finnish since May 2007, Finnish granted patents since January 2009 and Finnish registered utility models since February 2009.
