Struck-off Private Traders, General Partnerships, Limited Partnerships and Housing Companies in 2005

Entries concerning inactive businesses and housing companies have been struck off the Trade Register in accordance with Section 24 of the Trade Register Act on 5 December 2005. The striking-off procedure concerns a total of 5024 businesses and housing companies.

Businesses and housing companies that have been removed from the register are published in the Trade Register Gazette No. 49A on 12 December 2005. The Gazette is available at our PatRek Client Service, Arkadiankatu 6A, 00100 Helsinki.

Re-entry of a Removed Business or Housing Company

It is possible to re-enter a business or a housing company in the register if they de facto were carrying on business at the time of the removal. In addition, it is required that a demand concerning the re-entry is made within five years of the removal (cf. Administrative Procedure Act, Section 52:1.)

A business or a housing company may demand re-entry by filing a free-form application. The application or its enclosures shall verify

  • that the business or housing company has been in business at the time of the striking-off, and
  • specify the nature of the business that was being conducted.
