Automated signature in NBPR’s outgoing patent documents from 1 June 2010
From 1 June 2010, patent and utility model documents sent by the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland (NBPR) will be signed automatically. The documents carry a note stating that the signature has been generated automatically. The automated signature replaces the signatures previously signed in the patent examiner's own hand. The change is based on section 42a of the Patents Decree.
