Increase in VAT rate on some of our services and products

On 1 July 2010, the VAT rate on our commercial services is going up by one percentage point from 22% to 23%. The fees for these services are not based on acts or decrees but are decided by our office itself.

Our commercial services include examination services and information searches for patents; preliminary examinations for trademarks and designs; and – at the Trade Register, the Register of Foundations, and the Register of Enterprises Mortgages – items that include various kinds of documents, statistics, information searches and browsing, data selection services and alert services, as well as services provided through the European Business Register (EBR) and the Finnish Business Information System (BIS). At the Register of Associations, commercial services include CD YREKA and NetYREKA. Our courses, copying and delivery are also included in our commercial services.
