Millennium Prize Winners – inventors of several patents

This year, Professor Michael Grätzel from Switzerland won the Millennium Prize for his DSC solar panels.

Michael Grätzel obtained his first patent in 1976 and has obtained several more since then. >>>

Richard Friend and Stephen Furber also received awards. The inventions of Richard Friend relate to the further development of organic LEDs, i.e. OLED screens, developed by Kodak in the 1980’s. Stephen Furber was awarded for his work as principal designer of ARM microprocessors based on RISC technology.
