NBPR and USPTO to extend their PPH pilot agreement

The National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland (NBPR) has decided to continue its Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot agreement with the United States Patent Office (USPTO). The agreement is in force until further notice.

Finnish patent applicants have made use of the accelerated procedure under PPH, and its use is expected to keep increasing in the future.

The continuation agreement will enter into force on 6 July 2010. It was confirmed by the President of NBPR Martti Enäjärvi and the Director of USPTO David J. Kappos.

Detailed instructions on how to request accelerated processing are available on the NBPR website. Go to the PPH pages on this website.
