PatInfo – information on Finnish patents and utility models

We are improving our free information services; on 2 January 2013 abstracts of all published patent applications since 2001 and all the information on utility models stored in the Utility Model Net database will be transferred to the PatInfo search service. In February 2013, the Utility Model Net will be discontinued. The renewal makes information retrieval easier, as information on utility models and patents can be retrieved from a single service.

The Utility Model Net and PatInfo both comprise identification details of registered utility models. The Utility Model Net also includes independent claims and figures. These two information sources will now be merged. The utility model claims and patent application abstracts are available in text format. You can now carry out a word search, which improves the chances of finding information.

One common user interface will be divided into three user interfaces: one each in Finnish, Swedish and English.
