Lowest number of Start-up Notifications submitted to the Trade Register in five years

In January-February this year, new businesses submitted 7,945 Start-up Notifications to the Trade Register, which is the lowest number in five years – for example in 2009, the number of Start-up Notifications was 8,103; in 2011, it reached 8,601; last year it fell to 8,418.

The number of Start-up Notifications of new businesses, as well as amendment or termination notifications, fell by 6% from January-March last year.

The number of enterprise mortgage applications and notifications also fell by 15% from the corresponding period last year.
