Amendments to register entries

If there has been a change in information entered in the Trade Register, an amendment notification thereof must be filed immediately (Trade Register Act, Section 14).

The notification must be submitted on an amendment notification form, either in Finnish or in Swedish. It is mandatory to use the notification form: the registration authority makes no entries in the Trade Register on the basis of a notification that is free in form, such as a letter.

The form must include the change to be entered in the Register, such as a new postal address; new nature of trade; new municipality as the place from which the business is run; a new auxiliary company name and the fields of activity involved, or similar.
