Information service on published Trade Register entries

When an entry is made in the Trade Register it is simultaneously published through the Electronic Information Service. The Electronic Information Service on Published Entries is a public and free-of-charge service which contains, besides the entries being published, also the basic details of businesses concerned. With the help of the Service you can check whether a business has, for example, submitted its new Board of Directors for registration, or find out which new businesses have been registered in a certain period of time.

In the Service, you can search for information on any company by using its Business ID. The ID can be checked in the Business Information System, if necessary. Also a certain date or a specific time interval can be used as a search term. Alternatively, you can restrict the search by type of registration, or by municipality or province. The search result contains the basic details of a company, which are the company name, Business ID and domicile. The registration being published contains, for example, the type of registration and the headings of register entries. The service contains information as of 1 September 2006.

To remember

Trade Register Gazette
Register entries made before 1 September 2006 have been published in the Trade Register Gazette once a week. These Gazettes are available at the Library of the National Board of Patents and Registration.

Official Journal
The Official Journal publishes public notices to the creditors of companies that have been entered in the Trade Register (for example, mergers and divisions, reductions of share capital or legal reserve or share premium reserve, distributions of reserves of unrestricted equity under observance of creditor protection, and public notices in liquidation proceedings). The publication takes place about one week after the registration. These registrations are also published through the Electronic Information Service on Published Entries. Published entries can be read at www.kuulutusrekisteri.oikeus.fi, which is the announcement register of the Legal Register Centre.
