Register of Foundations
A foundation can be established by a deed of foundation or by a will. First you must apply for a permission to establish a foundation from the NBPR after which you can have the foundation registered with us. At the moment, there are some 2,800 registered foundations.
For instructions for the establishment of a foundation and reporting it for registration, go to the menu on the left.
What is a foundation?
-
A foundation is set up to manage property donated for a particular purpose.
-
The purpose is determined when setting up the foundation.
-
Foundations have neither owners, shareholders nor members.
-
A Board of Trustees ensures that the foundation operates appropriately, and is responsible for ensuring that the investments by the foundation are secure and profitable.
