Codified version of the Community Trade Mark Regulation

A codified version of the Community Trade Mark Regulation, Council Regulation (EC) No 207/2009, was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 24 March 2009 (No L 78). The new regulation enters into force on 13 April 2009 and repeals Council Regulation (EC) No 40/94, as amended.

No changes were made to the contents of the regulation. However, the language versions might have changed, as the translations have been revised (translation errors have been corrected and linguistic improvements have been made to the text).

In addition, the numbering of some articles has been changed: article numbers with the letter ‘a’ used in the amendments of Council Regulation (EC) No 40/94 have been deleted, and the articles have been renumbered. At the end of the new regulation, there is also a correlation table showing the article numbers of the new and the old regulation.
