European business registers meet in Helsinki
The European Business Register (EBR), a network of national business registers from European countries, organises a meeting in Helsinki on 26 May 2011 to discuss the future of the service and how to improve collaboration.
Representatives from 20 countries will attend the meeting, mostly representatives from national business registers.
A total of 26 countries have joined the EBR information service, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, France, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Spain, Sweden, Estonia, and Finland.
The service provides up-to-date, official information on more than 20 million businesses. You can use the service to search for European businesses and retrieve basic information about them.
You can also find more detailed information about company representatives, annual accounts, persons in businesses etc.
Finland joined the EBR in 1999 when it was launched. Over the years, the number of countries joining the EBR has increased from 11 to 26, and the range of searches and products has expanded. The service is constantly being improved.
The meeting is hosted by the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland. The last time the EBR General Meeting was held in Finland was 2002.
