Special library and reading room

Come and visit our Library if you

• search for a business idea
• wonder if your invention is already known somewhere else
• just want to learn about the history of technical inventions

Our collections comprise

• some 70 million patent publications from over 40 countries, of which
• 60 million in Espacenet database
• 12 million on CD-ROMs

25,000 books on industrial property, commercial and business law, different fields of technology, patenting, trade marks, designs, utility models, associations and foundations

• patent gazettes and most important industrial property publications

The Library is divided into two synergistic units: the Patent Collection and the Special Library, also referred to as "non-patent library" in the field.

The Library´s Client service is centrally situated on the 3rd floor with the Special Library´s collections conveniently at hand.
