Services of the Utility Models Section
The Utility Models Section is the primary source of information in utility model matters. It offers detailed technical and legal advice concerning utility model applications. The Section consists of three full-time employees. In addition, the examiners at the Patents and Innovations Line help the Section, for example, by processing claims for declaration of invalidity and by conducting ordered examinations.
The Section provides information on how the processing of an application proceeds and gives advice on how to write answers to official actions and on legal matters concerning infringements of utility model rights etc. The Section does not, however, draw up utility model applications.
