The handling fee has to be paid in advance and the receipt must be enclosed with the notification. The receipt, or a bank statement, must show the following details:
The payer
The recipient (National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland, NBPR)
The account number to which the money was transferred (NBPR’s bank account)
The bank’s archive number
The sum paid in euros
Remember also to write any of the following in the message field: Business ID, company name, or the record number of your notification.
You can pay the handling fees
online from your personal computer
at a bank
by using a payment ATM
at our client service in Helsinki; at Local Register Offices (‘maistraatti’); or at some Centres for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY Centres).
If you deliver your notification in person to our client service, Arkadiankatu 6 in Helsinki, you can pay the handling fee
by debit card, or
by any of the following credit cards: Visa, Visa Electron, OK, Eurocard, Mastercard, Diners Club, or American Express.
You can also pay the handling fee at Local Register Offices or at some ELY Centres when submitting the notification. However, you should check the method of payment beforehand with these offices.
