Closing down your business

You have to report the dissolution of a company and termination of business to the Trade Register. As soon as the company is deleted from the Trade Register, the protection of registered company names is no longer in force.

Interruption of business

If you interrupt your business for an unspecified or specified period, the interruption will not be entered in the Trade Register. The Trade Register does not therefore show if the business is still in operation or not. You must however report interruption of business to the Tax Administration by using the amendment notification forms, as the interruption will be recorded in the Business Information System. Click here for the forms.

If you decide to continue your business later on, you must without delay report it to the Tax Administration by using the amendment notification forms.
