Close down your business

If you are a private trader and you wish to close down your business, you must inform the Trade Register using Form Y6. The partners of general partnerships and limited partnerships may, if they all agree, decide to close down their business and then must inform the Trade Register using Form Y5. Check the processing time prognosis for terminating a business.

The most common way to close a limited liability company is by going into liquidation. The liquidation procedure includes several phases: it is therefore not sufficient to simply inform the Trade Register to close a limited liability company. The minimum period of time for closing down a limited company is about four months.
