The list of trademarks with a reputation includes trademarks with a reputation applied for and admitted to the list. Trademarks with a reputation in Finland, as defined in Section 6(2) of the Finnish Trademarks Act, are entered in the list on application.
In the database of trademarks with a reputation, you can make a search for all marks admitted to or applied for the list, or you can specify the search to concern a certain trademark, trademark holder or list number.
Normally, both the marks admitted to the list and marks applied for the list are included in the search, but you can also limit your search to concern only either type of marks.
The search result contains an indication whether the mark has been admitted to the list or if the process is still underway. If the mark admitted to the list has a defined target group, this is shown in red in the search result. Marks whose entry into the list is still pending lack this information. Under ‘More information’ you can get more details of the mark.
The details of marks still pending are not as comprehensive as the details of those admitted to the list, as certain details are not submitted until during the processing of the application. Such details are the target group, the goods or services in respect of which the mark has acquired a reputation, the description of the mark and the description of colour.
The target group and the goods or services in respect of which the mark has acquired a reputation are indicated only if the trademark admitted to the list has a defined target group.
The database is updated each time new information is entered in it.
