Example of persons authorised by the rules to sign for the association and of persons appointed to sign for the association

The section specifying the right to sign for the association in the rules (bylaws) of an association can be written as follows:

Example 1. The association’s name is jointly signed by the Chairperson and the Vice Chairperson of the Executive Committee or either of them together with the Secretary or the Treasurer.

In this situation, the chairperson and the vice chairperson of the Executive Committee, the secretary and the treasurer are all persons authorised by the rules to sign for the association. In the amendment notice form, you have to report required details of each of them. If no treasurer has yet been elected, you have to report it in the form.

Example 2. The association’s name is signed by the Chairperson or the Vice Chairperson of the Executive Committee, or the Secretary or the Treasurer, two together. The name of the association is also signed by a person specifically authorised by the Executive Committee.

In this situation, the chairperson and the vice chairperson of the Executive Committee, the secretary and the treasurer are persons authorised by the rules to sign for the association. A person specifically authorised by the Executive Committee to sign for the association is a person appointed to sign for the association, for example, an ordinary member of the Executive Committee.

You have to report the details of the chairperson and the vice chairperson of the Executive Committee, the secretary and the treasurer in the fields intended for this purpose in the amendment notice form. If, for example, no treasurer has yet been elected, you have to report it in the form.

You have to report the details of persons specifically authorised by the Executive Committee in the fields intended for this purpose in the amendment notice form. If no one has been specifically authorised, you have to report in the form that no order has been given.
