Did you get your LEI code from PRH before 27 September 2017? File your parent entity details immediately to avoid inactivation of the code

If your company or entity got its LEI code from the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) before 27 September 2017, we have no information about the parent entities (if any) of the company or entity.

Therefore you must now file your parent entity details immediately or indicate that there are no details. File a notification even if there is no parent entity.

If you fail to file the details immediately, we cannot renew your LEI code even if you pay the annual fee. In practice, this means that the LEI will be inactivated.

The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), which governs the LEI system globally, requires that we collect parent entity details from LEI owners.

The PRH is sending a reminder letter to LEI owners who got the code before 27 September 2017 and have not filed their parent entity details.

How to file the details

To file your parent entity details or to indicate that there are no details, fill in an application using our online LEI service. Complete, print out and sign the application form and send it to the PRH.

Complete and send in the application even if there are no parent entities or if you are not disclosing their details.

Filing the details is free of charge. However, in the application you will be asked to give your invoicing details for paying the LEI annual fee.

In the application you need to indicate whether you are disclosing your parent entity details. If you are not disclosing the details, you must select a reason for that (for example that there are no parent entities). Read more about the parent entities you must file details about.

At the same time, you must read and agree to our LEI service agreement and terms of use. GLEIF requires that the PRH and the LEI owner enter into an agreement. See the service agreement and the terms of use.

If you file parent entity details, you must send in documents showing the relationship to the parent entity. Consolidated financial statements are the best documents for this purpose.

Read further instructions on how to file the application.

Print out and sign your application and send it to the PRH with the enclosed documents (if any)

  • either by email as scanned PDF files to LEI(at)prh.fi

We will inform you of the update by email
