Notifications to Finnish Trade Register by 3 December 2018

The number of notifications to the Trade Register increases significantly at the end of the year. Our due date for the receipt of your notifications is therefore 3 December 2018, to make sure that they can be dealt with by 31 December.

Notify in good time about mergers and demergers

Our due date for the receipt of notifications of the implementation of merger or demerger is also 3 December, if you want the implementation to be registered before the end of the year.

Change of financial period: before the present period ends

According to the Finnish Tax Administration’s instructions, businesses must notify the Trade Register of changes in their financial period two months before the present period ends. File your notification on the ytj.fi website, which is jointly provided by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) and the Finnish Tax Administration, or using a paper form (Y form).

However, you cannot file the change online if there is less than two months to the end of the financial period.

The due date for the receipt of paper notifications is 3 December, to make sure that the change can be registered before the end of the year.

Filing online is the fastest way to submit your notification

It is possible to file most notifications with the Trade Register online on the ytj.fi website. Please note that the notifications must be filled in either in Finnish or in Swedish. Online notification is faster and, in most cases, cheaper than sending paper notifications. Go to ytj.fi and submit your notification.
