Draft bill to end the issuance of LEI codes at the PRH in the coming years
The Finnish Parliament is preparing a proposal to end the PRH’s issuance and maintenance of LEI codes.
According to the proposal, the act will enter into force two years after it is adopted. After the entry into force, LEI code owners will have to transfer their codes from the PRH to another service provider of their choice within 1.5 years.
No immediate action required for LEI code owners
For now, you do not have to take any action if your company’s LEI code was issued by the PRH. The Finnish Parliament has not yet adopted the act. After adoption, LEI code owners will have approximately three years to transfer their codes to another service provider.
