Oral proceedings with EPO over video conference

If you want to comment on statements from the European Patent Office (EPO), or take up other issues about your invention with the EPO’s examiners, you can, at any point during the application process, request the EPO to arrange oral proceedings.

After oral proceedings, the EPO examining division will decide whether to grant a patent or reject the application.

Oral proceedings can be carried out remotely via our videoconferencing equipment in Helsinki, so you do not have to travel to an EPO office in Munich or the Hague.

Book our videoconferencing room

The service is going to end at the end of November 2017!

Once you have agreed on oral proceedings with the EPO examining division, you are welcome to book a time in our videoconferencing room. We recommend that you make your reservation well in advance.

Go to the booking form (in Finnish).

The fee for the service includes a basic fee plus a charge per hour. We charge you for the hours booked in advance, but if you let us know at what time the room became vacant again, we will invoice you for the actual hours.

Contact our client service for further information about videoconferencing and our videoconferencing equipment.
