Automated decision-making when fees for late submission of financial statements imposed on companies

The PRH imposes a fee for late submission of financial statements if limited liability companies, co-operatives, European companies or European co-operatives do not submit their financial statement documents to the Finnish Trade Register within eight months of the end of the financial period. The PRH may use automated decision-making when the fee for late submission is imposed.

Read more about the fee for late submission of financial statements and how it is imposed.

The conditions for automated decision-making are specified in our Trade Register processing system. The specifications are provided in the deployment decision and the processing rules.

When can a matter be processed automatically?

The PRH can automatically process matters of imposition of a fee for late submission if the PRH does not receive written reports from the company that require case-by-case consideration by a public official.

How do I know if my matter is processed automatically?

We send the company a decision together with payment instructions and instructions for requesting an administrative review. The decision shows if the matter was decided upon automatically and where you can find more information about automated decision-making.

The PRH has assessed that automated decision-making does not put obliged companies in unequal positions.
