The Epoline Online Filing software will be shut down on 30 September 2025 – use the new Patent Service

We would like to remind you that the Epoline Online Filing (eOLF) application for patent professionals will be shut down on Tuesday 30 September 2025.

Last spring, the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) launched the new Patent Service, which has made it possible to submit the following applications:

• Finnish patent applications
• Applications for supplementary protection certificate (SPC)
• Utility model applications
• Validation of European patents in Finland

As of Wednesday 1 October 2025, the new Patent Service will also enable PCT applications to be submitted. Therefore, eOLF will no longer be needed. PCT applications may still be submitted via WIPO’s ePCT for Applicants service.

Schedule for the changes

• At 16.00 on Tuesday 30 September, eOLF will be shut down
• By midday on Wednesday 1 October, there will be a new version of the Patent Service, which enable PCT applications to be submitted.
