Com­pa­nies: up­da­te address and con­tact de­tails on­li­ne at ytj.fi

‍Companies benefit from keeping their address details up to date in the Finnish Business Information System (BIS) at ytj.fi. The Finnish Patent and Registration Office sends letters related to the Finnish Trade Register to the company's address recorded in the BIS. Many other authorities and operators also use the address details in the BIS.

Changing the address is free of charge.

A street or postal address is required

Companies must file either a postal address or a street address. One address is required.

If you want, you can also file other contact details, such as the

  • telephone number
  • email address
  • website address.

Please note that all the details you file are public and available to everyone who uses the company and organisation search tool at ytj.fi.

Proceed as follows

Change the address online at ytj.fi in Finnish or Swedish. You need to have a Finnish personal identity code and an identification token used for Suomi.fi e-Identification, such as personal internet banking codes or a mobile certificate.

  1. Log in to the online filing service at ytj.fiAvautuu uuteen välilehteen
  2. Select “Muuta yrityksen tietoja tai lähetä tilinpäätös” or “Ändra företagets uppgifter eller skicka in bokslut” (Change company details or send financial statements), and enter the Finnish Business ID (“Y-tunnus” or “FO-nummer”) of your company.
  3. Select “Aloita osoite- ja yhteystietomuutos” or “Påbörja ändring av address- och kontaktuppgifter” to change the details (Please note: Do not select “Aloita muutosilmoitus” or ”Påbörja ändringsanmälan”).
  4. Enter the new postal address, street address or other new contact details of the company in the given order. If some of the details do not change, select “Ei muutosta” or “Ingen ändring”. See how to file street addresses at ytj.fi.Avautuu uuteen välilehteen
  5. Accept, sign and send the notification.

The change of address will take effect in the BIS immediately and will be provided in the Finnish Trade Register within an hour. You can also specify a start date for the change.

Please note that the change of address is not transmitted from the BIS to Posti or vice versa. File a separate notification with Posti.
