Fin­nish Pa­tent and Re­gi­stra­tion Of­fice (PRH) and Chi­na Na­tio­nal In­tel­lec­tual Pro­per­ty Ad­mi­ni­stra­tion (CNI­PA) Launch PRH-CNI­PA Focal Point Mec­ha­nism Pi­lot Pro­ject

In order to better serve the economic and trade exchanges between Finland and China and to assist enterprises from both countries in addressing intellectual property-related issues and concerns in the other country, the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) and China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) have, after consultations, decided to jointly launch the PRH-CNIPA Focal Point Mechanism pilot project.

Both PRH and CNIPA will designate one officer each as intellectual property focal point to provide consulting services on intellectual property issues related to Finnish enterprises operating in China and Chinese enterprises operating in Finland, and to support these enterprises in obtaining effective intellectual property protection.

The PRH-CNIPA Focal Point Mechanism pilot project will run for one year, from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
