Companies: Now you can choose to receive notification documents by email in the online service at ytj.fi

Some of the notifications in the online service at ytj.fi now allow you to choose to receive notification documents, i.e. the Trade Register extract and any correction requests, only by email. You will receive the documents faster, and the amount of paper mail will decrease.

What notifications does this concern?

You can currently choose the method of receiving documents in the following notifications:

  • notification of establishment of a limited liability company and public limited company
  • starting up a limited liability company through a guided process
  • notifications of changes of key persons, such as members of the board of directors, the managing director, the house manager, and auditors
  • notifications related to a merger
  • notifications related to a demerger
  • notification of transfer of registered office to another country in the European Economic Area

We are gradually revamping the online filing service at ytj.fi. Our goal is to modernise all change notifications over the next year. The option to choose the method of receiving documents will be introduced as we improve the notifications.

Choosing electronic company documents

  1. Log in to the online filing service at ytj.fiAvautuu uuteen välilehteen in Finnish and Swedish.
  2. Select the notification.
  3. Fill in the required details and add the required documents.
  4. Select the person who will provide further information for the notification. We will send the documents to that person, so please check that the contact details are correct.
  5. If you file any of the above notifications, the service will ask whether the documents should be sent by email or post. Select "Kyllä, lähettäkää tämän ilmoituksen asiakirjat vain sähköpostilla" in Finnish and ”Ja, skicka dokumenten för den här anmälan endast via e-post” in Swedish (Yes, send the documents of this notification only by email).

You can also choose to receive the documents by post only. Choose either email or post for the notification.

The beneficial owner extract of a new limited liability company will not be sent by email

For security reasons, we do not send the beneficial owner extract of new limited liability companies by email.

If you establish a limited liability company and choose to receive documents by email, you can download the beneficial owner extract from PRH’s Beneficial Owner Information ServiceAvautuu uuteen välilehteen after registration.
