Companies: changes to the filing of key persons in the online service at ytj.fi

We are gradually revamping the online filing service at ytj.fi. You can now use a new separate notification to file changes to the details on the company’s key persons. We have improved the layout and usability of the notification. The notification is also more accessible for users with visual impairments.

Key persons are the members of the company’s board of directors, managing director (CEO), house manager, auditors, holders of procuration, and persons authorised to represent the company.

The online service at ytj.fi is available in Finnish and in Swedish.

File a separate notification of key persons

For the time being, you must submit two separate notifications of changes if you file changes of the key persons and the company’s other details at the same time.

  • To file changes of the key persons, use the Avainhenkilöt notification in Finnish or the Nyckelpersoner notification in Swedish.
  • For filing other changes, such as changes to the articles of association, you can use the Muut tiedot notification in Finnish and the Övriga uppgifter notification in Swedish.

To file a change of address, you still need to submit a separate notification. Filing a change of address is free of charge.

Proceed as follows in the online filing service at ytj.fi

  1. Log in to the online filing service at ytj.fi.Avautuu uuteen välilehteen
  2. Select “Muuta yrityksen tietoja tai lähetä tilinpäätös” or “Ändra företagets uppgifter eller skicka in bokslut” (Change company details or send financial statements).
  3. Enter the Finnish Business ID of the company.
  4. Select the reason for the notification. Select Osoite- ja yhteystiedot or Adress- och kontaktuppgifter for a change of address, Avainhenkilöt or Nyckelpersoner for changes of key persons, and Muut tiedot or Övriga uppgifter for other changes.

Also, when filing a notification of the termination of your appointment, you must select Muut tiedot or Övriga uppgifter.

To log in to the online filing service at ytj.fi, you need a Finnish personal identity code and a Finnish means of identification, such as internet banking codes or a mobile certificate.

We will continue to gradually revamp the online filing service at ytj.fi. In 2027, we also aim to revamp the other notifications of changes submitted to the Finnish Trade Register.
