Beware of scam websites that imitate the Finnish Trade Register

Customers of the Finnish Trade Register discovered websites that pose as information services run by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH). 

The websites give the impression that it is possible to search for and buy Trade Register extracts and companies’ articles of association, financial statements and other documents on the sites. The document prices vary from several dozen to a few hundred euros. The websites are in various languages.

In October 2025, the PRH asked the police to investigate a suspected scam site. The website address is traderegistry.fi, and its title is “Finland Trade Registry”.

The suspected scam site has nothing to do with the PRH’s Finnish Trade Register and the Virre Information Service.

Extracts and documents from the Finnish Trade Register are available in the Virre Information Service, where you can download a Trade Register extract free of charge and buy documents such as articles of association and financial statements.
