The PRH is committed to the Code of Ethics for Professional Communicators
The Finnish Council of Ethics for Communication has granted the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) the right to use the Responsible Communication label. The PRH is committed to the Code of Ethics for Professional Communicators.
The public commitment and the use of the Responsible Communication label is an indication of the PRH’s intent to act responsibly and communicate ethically. Responsible communication is also included in the strategic guidelines for the PRH’s communication.
The Code of Ethics has four themes
According to the Code of Ethics for Professional Communicators, responsible communication is more than just following the letter of the law. It is a constant reflection on the ethics of communication, responsible policies, and actions in everyday communication.
The Code of Ethics for Professional Communicators is divided into four themes:
- Openness
- Honesty
- Reliability
- Respectfulness
Grounds for granting the label
The use of the Responsible Communication label is based on trust. The Council does not audit organisations’ operations or communication. The label is granted for three years at a time.
