PRH continues as PCT authority

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) will continue to work as a searching and examining authority according to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) during the following ten-year period, from 2018 to 2027.

The PCT system makes it possible for you to start your international patent process by filing one single application, which then gives you the option of a patent in all the contracting countries, of which there are over 150.

The PCT system is administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). There are 23 PCT authorities in the world; the newest is in the Philippines.
