Changes to association’s address and contact details

File all changes to address or contact details without delay.

The address and contact details filed with the Register of Associations are public. Everyone can see the details in the information service of the Register of Associations and in the company search at ytj.fi.

The PRH does not send a register extract about the change to address. You can check the change in the information service of the Register of Associations or in the company search at ytj.fi.

At least one address must be filed

You must file the post or street address of your association with the Register of Associations.

If you want, you can also file other contact details of the association, such as

  • phone number
  • email address
  • website address.

Please note that all contact details you file become public.

Who files the notification online?

File a notification of changes using the online service of the Register of Associations. Please note that the online service is only available in Finnish and in Swedish.

The chairperson of the association’s executive committee signs the notification.

If the association has filed its executive committee with the Register of Associations, then any adult committee member can also sign the notification. Associations have been able to file the executive committee for registration from 18 September 2019.

Please note: Committee members who have only been registered as persons entitled to sign for the association have no right to sign the notification.

The person who signs the notification must have a Finnish personal identity code, and personal internet banking codes, a mobile certificate, or an electronic identity card (HST card).

If the person who fills in the notification is not entitled to sign for the association, he or she must give the filing ID (asiointitunnus, ärendenummer) of the notification to the person entitled to sign, so that the person can log in to the service to sign the notification.

What does it cost?

Filing the notification is free of charge.

Go to the online filing service of the Register of Associations in Finnish and in Swedish. Start by identifying yourself via the suomi.fi service.

How to file the address and contact details of an association using paper forms

File the notification using form Y4a (notification of changes and termination). Please note that the form is only available in Finnish and in Swedish. Save the form to your computer, fill it in and print out.
