Non-disclosure for personal safety and the Finnish Trade Register
Non-disclosure for personal safety and Trade Register extract
If you have a non-disclosure for personal safety registered in the Finnish Population Information System, the Trade Register extract provides no information on your home municipality or country of residence. If you have a Finnish personal identity code, your address details are not stored in the Finnish Trade Register. The Finnish Trade Register receives the information on the person’s place of residence from the Finnish Population Information System.
The non-disclosure for personal safety in the Finnish Population Information System does not protect other details or documents stored in or submitted to the Finnish Trade Register. This means that, despite the non-disclosure, the electronic archive of the Finnish Trade Register can contain documents that you or another person has submitted and that contain contact details related to the non-disclosure.
Non-disclosure for personal safety and the company’s address

Non-disclosure for personal safety and board membership in a housing company
The Finnish Trade Register is a register for public use. Anyone is entitled to obtain information about the entries made in the Finnish Trade Register. Information on a board membership is also publicly available, and it is shown on the Trade Register extract. If you are a board member and you have a non-disclosure for personal safety, keep in mind that it may be possible to deduce your home address subject to the non-disclosure from the housing company’s name.
Non-disclosure for personal safety and other contact details
A non-disclosure for personal safety registered in the Finnish Population Information System does not protect your contact details in the Finnish Trade Register. You must make sure that you do not file an address subject to the non-disclosure as the company or representative address. Furthermore, you should not attach any documents with details subject to the non-disclosure to your notification. Under the Finnish Act on the Openness of Government Activities (621/1999), official documents are usually public. The publicity also applies to Trade Register notifications and supporting documents.
Non-disclosure for personal safety and online services

Also, private traders cannot file a change of address via the same service. If you have been granted a non-disclosure for personal safety and you are about to register in the Finnish Trade Register as a private trader, file the start-up notification on paper. If you have a non-disclosure for personal safety, also file your notification of change of address on paper.
