Notification of changes for a private trader to the Finnish Trade Register
As a private trader (often referred to as ‘toiminimiyrittäjä’ in colloquial Finnish), you are obliged to notify the Finnish Trade Register of any changes in your registered details, for instance if your company name or line of business has changed.
Before filing your notification of changes with the Finnish Trade Register

If you have filed your company’s email address, you will always get an automatic email when we have received your notification of changes at the Finnish Trade Register. Read our instructions on how you can monitor the changes in your company’s details.
Please note that the company's email address shown in the company and organisation search at ytj.fi is public.
How to file a notification of changes with the Finnish Trade Register
File your notification without delay.
You can file your notification of changes using the online service at ytj.fi or a paper form. If you file your notification on paper, the processing time will be longer than when filing online at ytj.fi.

It is free of charge to submit address and contact details. Other notifications of changes are subject to a fee. Price examples of notifications of changes:
- Change of company name 70 euros
- Notification of auxiliary company name 70 euros
- Change of company name and change of line of business 70 euros + 50 euros
- Change of company name and notification of holder of procuration 70 euros + 50 euros
- Change of line of business and registered office 50 euros + 50 euros
