Log in to the Beneficial Owner Information Service

People responsible for a company or authorised to represent a company can download a beneficial owner extract for their company from the Beneficial Owner Information Service. Beneficial owners can download their personal information from the Beneficial Owner Information Service.

The personal information and the extract for the company are free of charge.

The service can currently also be used by auditors, attorneys, representatives of the authorities, and real estate agents. See ”Who can use the service”Avautuu uuteen välilehteen.

Who can use the service

The service can currently be used by:

  1. People responsible for a company or people authorised to represent a company, who can download a beneficial owner extract for their company free of charge.
  2. Beneficial owners, who can download their personal information free of charge.
  3. Auditors listed in the Finnish Register of Auditors.
  4. Attorneys who are members of the Finnish Bar Association.
  5. Real estate agents authorised by a letting agency
  6. Finnish supervisory authorities defined in the Finnish Anti-Money Laundering Act.

Auditors, attorneys and real estate agents must identify their customers and check the beneficial owner details to prevent money laundering. They and the authorities also have an obligation to make a discrepancy report to the PRH if the information they receive differs from the registered beneficial owner details.

What does it cost?

  • Your company’s beneficial owner details are free of charge.
  • The beneficial owner's personal information is free of charge.
  • The information is free of charge for the authorities.
  • For other users, the beneficial owner extract costs 1.50 euros + VAT 25.5 % per extract.

You can pay the items in the service using your internet banking codes or by credit card and download the items after payment.

How to search for information 

Log in to the service using Suomi.fi e-Identification and, for example, your internet banking codes or mobile certificate.

The service checks that you have a position enabling you to use the service: for instance, you are registered as a person responsible for the company or as a beneficial owner, or you are an auditor or an attorney.

Your company’s beneficial owner details

Proceed as follows:

  1. ​Log in to the Beneficial Owner Information ServiceAvautuu uuteen välilehteen in Finnish and Swedish.
  2. Select “Oman yrityksesi edunsaajatiedot” or “Ditt företags förmånstagaruppgifter”. Then select the company for which you are responsible and need an extract.
  3. Select current details only (“vain voimassa olevat” or “endast giltiga”), expired details as well (“myös päättyneet” or “även upphörda”) or details for a certain period (“Aikavälillä” or “Tidsperiod”).
  4. Select “Muodosta” or “Skapa” to create an extract.
  5. Download the extract for free as a PDF or CSV file.

Your beneficial owner details

Proceed as follows:

  1. ​Log in to the Beneficial Owner Information ServiceAvautuu uuteen välilehteen in Finnish and Swedish.
  2. Select ”Omat edunsaajatietosi” or ”Dina förmånstagaruppgifter”.
  3. Select current details only (“vain voimassa olevat” or “endast giltiga”), expired details as well (“myös päättyneet” or “även upphörda”) or details for a certain period (“Aikavälillä” or “Tidsperiod”).
  4. Select “Muodosta” or “Skapa” to create an extract.
  5. Download the extract for free as a PDF file.

Auditors and attorneys

Proceed as follows:

  1. ​Log in to the Beneficial Owner Information ServiceAvautuu uuteen välilehteen in Finnish and Swedish.
  2. Select “Olet asianajaja, tilintarkastaja tai vakuutusasiamies ja asioit rahanpesun ilmoitusvelvollisena” or ”Du är advokat, revisor eller försäkringsombud och du uträttar ärenden som rapporteringsskyldig för penningtvätt”.
  3. Select whether you are searching for company information (“Haen yritystä tai yhdistystä” or “Jag söker ett företag eller en förening”) or person information (“Haen henkilöön liittyviä tietoja” or “Jag söker uppgifter om en person”). Company information: search by the Finnish Business ID (“Y-tunnus” or “FO-nummer”) or name (“Nimi” or “Namn”). Person information: search by name (“Nimi” or “Namn”), personal identity code (“Henkilötunnus” or “Personbeteckning”) or date of birth (“Syntymäaika” or “Födelsedatum”).
  4. Select the company or person from the search results. You can save the search result as a CSV file.
  5. Select current details only (“vain voimassa olevat” or “endast giltiga”), expired details as well (“myös päättyneet” or “även upphörda”) or details for a certain period (“Aikavälillä” or “Tidsperiod”).
  6. Select “Muodosta” or “Skapa” to create an extract.
  7. Add the items to the shopping cart as a PDF document or CSV file.
  8. Pay and download the details.

People authorised by an authority or a company

Proceed as follows:

  1. ​Log in to the Beneficial Owner Information ServiceAvautuu uuteen välilehteen in Finnish and Swedish.
  2. Select “Asioit yrityksen tai viranomaisen puolesta” or “Du uträttar ärenden för ett företag eller en myndighet”. You will be transferred to select the company or authority that has authorised you to use the service.
  3. Select whether you are searching for company information (“Haen yritystä tai yhdistystä” or “Jag söker ett företag eller en förening”) or person information (“Haen henkilöön liittyviä tietoja” or “Jag söker uppgifter om en person”). Company information: search by the Finnish Business ID (“Y-tunnus” or “FO-nummer”) or name (“Nimi” or “Namn”). Person information: search by name (“Nimi” or “Namn”), personal identity code (“Henkilötunnus” or “Personbeteckning”) or date of birth (“Syntymäaika” or “Födelsedatum”).
  4. Select the company or person from the search results. You can save the search result as a CSV file.
