Trade Reg­is­ter forms on­line

Companies must file their notifications and applications online with the Finnish Trade Register from 2026. This does not apply to private traders, associations or foundations.

You can file most notifications for the most common company types using the online service at ytj.fi. See a list of the company types that can file online at ytj.fi.​

If you cannot submit your notification or application using the online filing service at ytj.fi, use our online form to send form Y or the application with attachments to the PRH. Our online forms require strong authentication. Links to the forms and instructions are below.

Please note that the online service at ytj.fi and most forms are only available in Finnish and Swedish.

How to file notifications using online forms

1. Pay the handling fee in advance and enclose the receipt with your notification or application. See the Trade Register price list and payment instructions.​
2. Save the Y form and other notification forms on your computer before filling them in.
3. Log in to the online form. You will find links to the forms below.
4. Select the matter your notification or application concerns.
5. Enter the company details.
6. Add the forms you filled in or your application as well as the receipt for the handling fee and other necessary attachments from your computer.
7. Click Lähetä/Skicka (“Send”).

Notification to the Trade Register

• Only the notifications that cannot be filed using the online service at ytj.fi

Application to the Trade Register

• Applications that concern an order of liquidation or deregistration as well as the liquidator

Identification method for foreign persons – Notification to the Finnish Trade Register

• Only for EU citizens who have no Finnish personal identity code and who use the means of identification of another EU country.

Filing financial statements with the Trade Register

• Only for general partnerships and limited partnerships where the general partner is a company, an organisation or the estate of a deceased person.
• For companies that submit an annual report or a group annual report on the extractive industry and the harvesting of primary forests

Application for re-entry to the Finnish Trade Register or termination of liquidation (companies removed since 2023)

• For companies that the PRH has removed from the Trade Register or ordered into liquidation due to unreported information as of the beginning of 2023.

Re-entering companies removed from the Trade Register before 2023

• For companies that the PRH removed from the Finnish Trade Register before 2023 due to unreported information.

Digital financial statements to the Trade Register

• Filing of digital financial statements for the following companies:
  • Credit and insurance institutions that are not required to prepare ESEF financial statements.
  • Companies that cannot sign the notification in the online service at ytj.fi (no Finnish personal identity code).
• The online form is only intended for filing digital financial statements of companies with a sustainability reporting obligation. See our instructions.​
• You can request a link to the online form by sending an email to digitilinpaatos(at)prh.fi. Please state the company’s name and Finnish Business ID in your message.
  

Private traders can file notifications using forms on paper

Private traders as well as associations and foundations registered in the Trade Register can file notifications with the Trade Register on paper Y forms and their appendix forms and send them by post.
