Longer processing times for Trade Register notifications
Our processing times for Trade Register notifications are currently longer than usual. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay and thank our customers for their patience. We are aware of the harm that the long processing times cause to companies’ operations.
The Finnish Trade Register is currently processing an unusually large number of notifications and applications. The number of incoming notifications has continued to grow significantly each year. Our experts are currently working overtime, and we aim to substantially reduce our processing times.
We have also recruited new experts, and we will continue to recruit and train new experts.
We have prioritised the processing of the most urgent notification types for entrepreneurs. Start-up notifications and notifications of changes of the board of directors and other organs filed online at ytj.fi are currently processed in about a week. Notifications of the implementation of mergers and demergers are also processed quickly.
The processing is partly delayed due to notifications submitted on paper. Since the start of 2026, online filing has been mandatory for most companies. We still receive paper notifications from these companies, which creates extra work for the officers in charge of processing them. Read more about mandatory online filing at prh.fi.
Justified reasons are required for accelerated processing
If the company’s operations require a notification to be processed urgently, you can attach a request for accelerated processing to the notification. There must be a weighty and justified reason for accelerated processing.
Read more about the grounds for accelerated processing and how to make your request at prh.fi.
Monitor the progress of your notification
We update the processing status of filed notifications at prh.fi weekly. See the processing status of notifications.
