Our online patent and utility model services will be revamped in February
In the week beginning 6 February 2023, we will launch five new or revamped services. We will also introduce a new internal processing system for patents and utility model applications. Online patent and utility model applications to the PRH will remain unchanged.
Patent Information Service
Our new Patent Information Service combines our current patent and utility model databases (PatInfo, FI-EP, Publication Server, and Pate). The service provides a quicker and better search tool and makes payments easier.
Patent Payment Service and Deposit Account
The Patent Payment Service makes it convenient to pay fees and reduces the number of incorrect payments. You can use the service to view your payment history and your up-to-date payment details. The Patent Payment Service enables companies with a large number of fees to use our new Deposit Account for payments. Companies transfer money into the Deposit Account to pay their patent or utility model fees.
Patent Document Service
You can use the Patent Document Service to receive patent and utility model decisions and documents online. The document service is primarily meant for companies with a large number of patents and utility models.
Industrial Property Gazettes service
The service will contain all our industrial property gazettes. The Patent Gazette and Utility Model Gazette in current form will no longer be published on certain days of the month. Instead, the information will be published via our new Industrial Property Gazettes service. The change will speed up the publication of for instance granted patents and utility models, which will be published immediately, rather than waiting for the next issue of the gazette.
Trademark and design registrations have been published via the Industrial Property Gazettes service since mid-August 2022. Go to the Industrial Property Gazettes service, which currently contains trademarks and design rights.Open link in a new tab
