Continue the PCT application process in Finland

You can apply for a utility model (like a patent) for your invention in Finland, but also through the international patent system (PCT). Read more about the PCT system in the Patents section.

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) is also an international searching authority, which means that you can draw up a PCT application in Finland and ask us to examine it. The PCT system does not grant an international patent, and consequently after the international phase you have to complete the application in the regional or national phase at different patent offices. Thus, you can continue the process in Finland as a national utility model or patent application. Read more about the international phase in the Patents section.

The utility model applications filed through the PCT system are processed in the same way as all other utility model applications.
