Protect your intellectual property: SME Fund open for grant applications until 16 December 2022

Small and medium-sized companies have the opportunity to receive financial support to protect and develop control over their intellectual property under the Ideas Powered for Business SME Fund grant programme. The support is granted by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

You can get financial support for trademark and design application fees, national patent application fees and the IP pre-diagnostic service (IP Scan). A single company can get up to €2,250 in financial support during the year.

The amount of the grant depends on the applications your company has filed and the services it has ordered. The grant is reimbursed retrospectively for the fees your company has paid. The reimbursed share varies according to the object the support is granted for (50–90%).

You can apply for the grant this year until 16 December 2022. The grant programme will also continue next year. According to the current information, the application for 2023 will open in mid-January.
