Re-entering removed companies to the Finnish Trade Register – instructions for companies removed as of 2023

These instructions are intended for companies that the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) has removed from the Finnish Trade Register as of the beginning of 2023.

The PRH has removed the company from the Finnish Trade Register because it has not submitted the requested financial statement documents despite reminders to do so.

Our deregistration process follows the procedure set out in chapter 20, section 5 of the Finnish Limited Liability Companies Act or chapter 23, section 5 of the Finnish Co-operatives Act. Under these sections, the PRH may remove the company from the register even if no proof is available of the company having received the request or reminder.

The PRH sent its decision and appeal instructions to the address as recorded in the Finnish Business Information System at ytj.fi.

How to lodge an appeal against the PRH’s decision

The PRH does not accept appeals concerning the decision. The company may appeal the decision at the Administrative Court of Helsinki. The company must lodge its appeal within 30 days of being notified of the decision. Go to the website of the Administrative Court of HelsinkiOpen link in a new tab.

Requests concerning correction of errors made by the PRH

If the PRH has made an error during the procedure, you can address a request concerning correction of the error to the PRH. An example of such an error is if the PRH has registered the financial statements under the wrong Business ID. A situation where the company has not received requests or reminders related to the procedure cannot be regarded as an error.
