Change of representative

The application to record a change of representative must include the following details and documents:

  • The patent or application number
  • The new representative’s name or company name and Business ID, as well as the address and place of residence (domicile) or registered office
  • The new representative’s power of attorney

A representative’s power of attorney can be revoked by submitting a written notification from the applicant or holder. There is no charge for filing a change of representative.

Change of representative’s name, address, place of residence or registered office

Changes to the representative’s name, address, place of residence or registered office are automatically updated, including in other registered or pending matters in which the representative has been recorded.

There is no charge for filing changes to the representative’s name, address, place of residence or registered office.

How to file the changes

File the changes with the PRH in writing. You can send the notification and enclosures to the PRH Registry by post, email or secure email. You can also hand in the documents at the PRH customer service point.
