How to file

You need form Y3 and a personal data form. The forms are available in Finnish, Swedish and English, but you must fill in the details in Finnish or Swedish.

Please note that you should use the personal data form for submitting any identification details to the Trade Register. Make sure you do not fill in personal identity codes, or the home addresses of persons living abroad, on any other notification forms. You do not need to submit the home address of a person living in Finland to the Trade Register.

Read first the instructions (available in Finnish and in Swedish) on how to fill in the notification. Then complete and print the following forms: Y3 and personal data form. Remember to fill in the details in Finnish or Swedish.

Who signs the notification?

Form Y3 must be signed by either the private trader or a person authorised by them.

If an authorised person signs the notification, enclose a certified copy of a special power of attorney or the original general power of attorney.

Do you already have a Finnish Business ID?

If you already have a Finnish Business ID, in other words, you have run a business in Finland previously, or if you for instance want to notify the Trade Register about a company only registered at the Tax Administration, file your notification using form Y6 (notification of changes) and the personal data form. Give your previous Business ID on the form. Write all the details on form Y6 that you want to report about your company to the Trader Register, such as name and line of business.

Read first the instructions (available in Finnish and in Swedish) on how to fill in the notification. Then complete and print the following forms: Y6 and personal data form. Remember to fill in the details in Finnish or Swedish.
